sm An indoor Uist game corresponding to “Hunt the thimble.” All the players, with the exception of one, went out of the room, while the exception hid the paper. The rest then came in to search while the person who had hidden it called out teth! teth!, if anyone was near it, or fuar! fuar! to anyone far away from it. If anyone found the paper he sat down without saying anything and the game continued until all had silently taken seats or given up the hunt.
