In earlier times the traces were made of thongs or withes. Parts were: 1 Druman, sm The back-band of a cart horse. 2 Drumanach, sf The ridge-band of a cart. 3 Sìnte, sm Traces by which a horse draws a plough. 4 Sìnteach, sf Traces also. 5 Suanach, sf Plough rein.
